Garden Marinara Sauce
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (14 oz.) can chopped tomatoes
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. basil
- 6 medium mushrooms, sliced
- 1/4 tsp. crushed red peppers
- 7 sun-dried tomatoes, soaked in boiling water 2 minutes if not soaked in oil
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- Heat olive oil in medium size pan.
- Add onion.
- Saute 2 minutes.
- Add garlic; saute 1 minute.
- Add tomatoes and tomato sauce; heat to boiling.
- Add tomato paste; simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in sugar, oregano, basil, red pepper, salt, sun-dried tomatoes and mushrooms.
- Simmer 15 minutes more and pour over your favorite noodles.
