Sweet And Sour Pork Chops
- 6 center cut pork chops
- vegetable oil
- 1/2 c. lemon juice (condensed)
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/4 c. chopped onions
- 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 chicken flavor bouillon
- 1 (20 oz.) can pineapple chunks in heavy syrup, drained and reserving syrup
- 1 c. thinly sliced carrot
- green pepper rings
- Heat oven to 350u0b0.
- In large ovenproof skillet, brown chops in oil.
- Remove from skillet; pour off fat in skillet.
- Combine lemon juice and cornstarch; mix well.
- Add sugar, onion, soy sauce, bouillon and reserved syrup.
- Cook and stir until slightly thickened and bouillon is dissolved.
- Add pork chops and carrots; cover.
- Bake 1 hour or until tender.
- Add pineapple; cover and bake 10 minutes.
- Garnish with green peppers.
- Serve with rice if desired.
