Mexican Pie
- 2-crust pie crust
- 1 lb. ground beef or ground deer, drained
- chili powder to taste
- garlic to taste
- 1 medium onion
- 1 can chili beans
- 1/2 c. Colby Jack cheese, shredded
- 1 pkg. chili seasoning mix
- tomato juice to desired thickness
- salt and pepper
- Make your favorite two-crust pie crust and set aside.
- Brown ground beef or ground deer with garlic and other seasoning.
- Put garlic and onion in when you first start the meat to brown.
- After meat is browned and drained add chili beans and tomato juice.
- Cook to boiling.
- Roll out pie crust.
- Put the meat and bean mixture into the shell.
- Put cheeses on top and put other crust on top. Bake at 325u0b0 to 350u0b0 until crust is brown.
