Meat Filled Jumbo Shells
- 1 box jumbo shells
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 lb. ground pork
- 4 eggs
- 1 c. flavored bread crumbs
- 1 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 3/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 3/4 c. finely chopped onion
- 3/4 tsp. oregano
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 (32 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
- Cook jumbo shells according to package directions; drain in a single layer on wax paper or aluminum foil to keep shells from sticking together.
- Brown beef and pork in skillet; drain. Combine meat, eggs, bread crumbs, Mozzarella cheese, onion, oregano, salt and pepper.
- Fill each shell with about 2 tablespoons of the meat filling.
- Spread a thin layer of spaghetti sauce on the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
- Place the shells, open side down, in a single layer in the pan.
- Cover with the remaining sauce.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Cover with aluminum foil.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for about 45 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
- Fills about 36 shells.
- Makes 10 to 12 servings.
