This Irish Girl'S Fisherman'S Stew

  1. In a heavy soup pot or deep stove-top casserole warm the oil
  2. Add the onions, garlic, bell pepper, parsley and coriander seeds and saute until the onions are golden.
  3. Stir in the fish, tomatoes, potatoes, bay leaf, salt, pepper and wine
  4. Add just enough water to cover the ingredients.
  5. Cover the pot and simmer for about 30 minutes.
  6. Remove from the heat, throw away the bay leaf and serve with some good crusty bread to sop up the broth.
