Sweet And Sour Pork

  1. In a large skillet, brown pork in fat.
  2. Add 1/4 cup water; cover and simmer until tender (about 1 hour).
  3. Drain pineapple, reserving syrup.
  4. Combine sugar and cornstarch.
  5. Add pineapple syrup, vinegar, soy sauce and salt.
  6. Add cornstarch mixture, pineapple, green pepper and onion rings to skillet.
  7. Cook (continue stirring) over medium heat until mixture thickens. Cover and simmer 5 minutes longer.
  8. Serve over cooked rice. Makes 6 servings.
