Spaghetti And Meat Balls
- 2 (15 oz.) cans tomatoes
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 shake of crushed red pepper
- 1 lb. hamburg
- 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
- 3 medium bay leaves
- 1 medium chopped onion
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 paste cans of water
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 4 slices day old bread
- 1 lb. hamburg
- 1 Tbsp. garlic powder
- 1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- Put all sauce ingredients (tomatoes through crushed red pepper) in a Dutch oven or slow cooker and simmer until desired thickness. Place bread in a bowl and pour enough water over to dampen.
- Let soak, then squeeze out moisture.
- Mix together in large bowl the bread and meatball ingredients (hamburg through black pepper). Form into balls.
- Put into simmering sauce to cook.
