Hot Shrimp And Spinach Dip
- 1/2 c. green onions including tops, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1/2 lb. shrimp, cooked and diced
- 1 pkg. frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained (do not cook)
- 1 can golden mushroom soup
- 1 pkg. green onion dip mix
- 3 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
- 1 (3 oz.) can mushroom pieces and stems
- 1/2 (5 oz.) can water chestnuts, sliced
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- dash of Tabasco
- salt and pepper to taste
- Saute
- the
- onions
- and
- garlic
- in butter or margarine until onions
- are soft.
- Combine all other ingredients except Tabasco, salt and pepper;
- mix well.
- Add to the onion mixture and
- heat slowly,
- stirring frequently, until mixture is hot. Season to taste.
- Pour
- intot
- chafing
- dish and serve with assorted crackers.
- Yields 3 cups.
