Candy Bar Cheesecake
- 3/4 c. graham cracker crumbs
- 2/3 c. finely chopped walnuts
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 4 Tbsp. oleo, melted
- 8 oz. (five 1.65 oz.) Hershey bars
- 4 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cocoa
- dash of salt
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- Sour Cream Topping
- chopped nuts
- Combine crumbs, walnuts, 2 tablespoons sugar and oleo; mix well.
- Firmly press mixture into bottom and sides of an 8-inch spring-form pan.
- Break candy into several pieces; melt in double boiler or microwave.
- Set aside.
- Beat cream cheese with electric mixer until light and fluffy.
- Combine 3/4 cup sugar, cocoa and salt; gradually add to cream cheese, mixing well.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Add melted chocolate; beat until blended.
- Stir in sour cream and vanilla, blending well.
- Pour into prepared pan.
- Bake at 325u0b0 for 40 minutes.
- Turn off oven; let cheesecake stand in closed oven 30 minutes.
- Let cool at room temperature, then chill.
- Remove sides of spring-form pan; spread Sour Cream Topping and sprinkle with walnuts.
- Yield:
- 1 (8-inch) cheesecake.
