Coffee And Cream Cake
- 3 egg yolks
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. boiling water
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. cake flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. soda
- 1 3/4 tsp. instant coffee
- 1 1/2 sq. melted chocolate
- 3 egg whites
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 c. whipping cream
- 3/4 tsp. instant coffee
- 1/4 c. sugar
- Beat egg yolks and 1/4 cup sugar.
- Add 3/4 cup boiling water and vanilla.
- Sift and add:
- cake flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, salt, soda and 1 3/4 teaspoons instant coffee.
- Add melted chocolate.
- Beat egg whites and add 1/4 cup sugar and fold into coffee mixture.
- Bake in 2 layers at 350u0b0 about 20 minutes.
- Whip whipping cream and flavor with 3/4 teaspoon instant coffee and 1/4 cup sugar.
