General Tso'S Chicken
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 Tbsp. sesame oil
- 1 Tbsp. garlic
- 2 oz. sherry wine
- 1 tsp. hot chili sauce
- 2 Tbsp. white vinegar
- 3 oz. cornstarch mixed with water
- white pepper
- 1 Tbsp. sesame oil
- 1 1/2 c. cornstarch
- 1 Tbsp. chopped ginger root
- 1 Tbsp. scallion
- 2 c. chicken broth
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 c. sugar
- Marinate chicken in eggs, cornstarch and 1/2 tablespoon sesame oil for 1 hour (refrigerate).
- Fry in hot peanut oil.
- Remove. Allow oil to heat again and fry once more until golden.
- Heat pan. Add 1 ounce oil.
- Cook for a bit.
- Add a dash or two or hot oil. Add remaining ingredients to thicken and add chicken.
- Heat and serve with steamed broccoli and steamed white rice.
