Ground Meat And Vegetables With Bean Paste Over Noodles
- 1/2 lb. ground pork or beef
- 5 Tbsp. oil
- 1 c. onion, cubed
- 4 Tbsp. bean paste or soy sauce
- 1/2 c. water
- 2 tsp. cornstarch
- 2 tsp. sesame oil
- 1 tsp. sugar
- total 3 c.: carrot, gherkin cucumber and lettuce, all shredded
- 1/3 lb. dry noodles or 1/2 lb. fresh noodles
- Heat 5 tablespoons oil in preheated wok.
- Stir-fry onion until fragrant.
- Add ground meat; stir-fry until thoroughly cooked.
- Add bean paste; stir-fry until fragrant.
- Add water, cornstarch, sesame oil and sugar.
- Bring to boil.
- Cook until thickened.
- Cook noodles by boiling water, adding noodles, bring to second boil and cooking over medium heat, about 4 minutes.
- Drain noodles; place in bowls (individual).
- Top with shredded vegetables and meat topping. Serve hot.
- Mix well in bowls.
- Serves 2.
