White Chocolate Fig Hamantashens
- Fig Hamantashen Dough
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 cup oil
- 2 tablespoons vanilla
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup dried figs, chooped
- 5 1/2 cups flour
- Caramelized Walnut Filling
- 4 cups walnuts, chopped
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons water
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- Beat eggs and add sugar, oil, vanilla, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the flour and mix figs in last.
- Roll dough flat on a lightly floured surface.rnCut into circles.
- Heat sugar and water over a light flame until sugar is fully dissolved and begins to brown.
- Add heavy cream and walnuts.
- Place a spoonful of filling in the middle of the dough circles and pinch to form the classic triangle shape for the hamantashens.
- Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes or until edges begin to brown.
- Cool and drizzle with melted white chocolate
