Hawaiian Meatballs And Rice(Recipe From Minute Rice Box Many Years Ago)

  1. Saute garlic in salad oil.
  2. (I use a nonstick pan, no oil, and add garlic powder to the meatballs.)
  3. Cook meatballs until evenly browned.
  4. Combine cornstarch, sugar, salt, soy sauce, 1 cup water and vinegar and add to meatballs.
  5. Heat and stir until sauce thickens.
  6. Make a well in the center of the mixture and add green pepper and boiling water.
  7. Stir rice into water.
  8. Cover and simmer, approximately 10 minutes.
