Hot Shrimp Canapes
- 1 (10 per pkg.) pkg. refrigerated biscuits
- 2 cans canned shrimp, chopped
- 1/3 c. mayonnaise
- 1/2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- 3 Tbsp. minced onions
- 1 Tbsp. minced green pepper
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 to 4 drops Tabasco sauce
- 1 tsp. sesame seed, toasted
- Bake biscuits according to package directions.
- Cool and split biscuits.
- Leave on baking sheet.
- Chop shrimp and combine with remaining ingredients, except sesame seed.
- Spread mixture evenly on cut biscuit halves.
- Toast sesame seed in dry frying pan over medium to low heat until light golden brown in color.
- Sprinkle seed on canapes and broil until lightly browned and bubbly.
- Serve while hot.
- This is good to make ahead and broil at the last minute.
