Cranberry Coffee Cake

  1. Cream margarine and
  2. add sugar gradually.
  3. Add unbeaten eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
  4. Add dry ingredients which have been sifted together alternately with the sour cream,
  5. ending with
  6. the
  7. dry
  8. ingredients.
  9. Add
  10. 1
  11. teaspoon extract.
  12. Pour half batter
  13. in
  14. greased and floured 9 x 3-inch tube pan.
  15. Spread evenly
  16. with half the cranberries.
  17. Add rest of batter and
  18. top with remaining cranberries.
  19. Sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
  20. Bake at 350u0b0 for 55 minutes.
  21. Cool 5 minutes and remove from pan. Combine
  22. powdered
  23. sugar,
  24. water and 1/2 teaspoon almond extract. Dribble
  25. over
  26. cooled
  27. cake.
  28. Serves 12.
