Honey Brussel Sprouts

  1. First, slice brussel sprouts in half, then rinse, blanch in almost boiling salted water for about a minute or 2, then transfer your sprouts to an icebath. This process takes the bitterness out that turns most people off from brussel sprouts. Let brussel sprouts cool for a few minutes, drain, and allow to dry.
  2. Heat your pan on medium high. Add oil or butter, allow to heat for a moment or so depending on your pan, then add your brussel sprouts. Your pan should be hot enough that the brussel sprouts brown nicely and quickly. You do not want mushy brussel sprouts. They should only take maybe 3-4 minutes to cook. When they are nicely caramelized and a rich brown color, sprinkle your salt, and drizzle your honey over them. They are ready to serve and will be the best brussel sprouts you've ever had!!!
