Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 375u0b0.
  2. Grease a large baking sheet.
  3. Cream shortening and sugars together in mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
  5. Sift flour, soda, cinnamon and salt together; blend into creamed mixture.
  6. Stir in oats, chocolate morsels and pecans.
  7. Drop dough by level tablespoonful 2 inches apart onto prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Cool on wire racks. Makes about 70 cookies.
