Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. sifted Martha White all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 c. quick cooking oats
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- Preheat oven to 375u0b0.
- Grease a large baking sheet.
- Cream shortening and sugars together in mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
- Sift flour, soda, cinnamon and salt together; blend into creamed mixture.
- Stir in oats, chocolate morsels and pecans.
- Drop dough by level tablespoonful 2 inches apart onto prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool on wire racks. Makes about 70 cookies.
