Black Forest Cake(Yields One 3-Layer Cake)

  1. Combine eggs, egg yolks and 2/3 cup sugar.
  2. Beat until thick and light.
  3. Sift together flour, cocoa, baking powder and baking soda.
  4. Gradually fold flour mixture into egg mixture.
  5. Fold in vanilla.
  6. Pour batter into three 8-inch round cake pans which are lined with a greased circle of waxed paper.
  7. Bake at 350u0b0 for 18 to 20 minutes until top springs back when pressed lightly with finger.
  8. Cool on rack for 10 minutes.
