Damn Hot Chili

  1. Heat shortening (1 tablespoon) in pot.
  2. Add meat and garlic. Cover and cook on low for 10 to 15 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, mix dry ingredients in a bowl.
  4. Add to meat and stir well to coat meat thoroughly.
  5. Stir in tomato sauce, beer and water.
  6. Prick jalapenos and drop them in whole.
  7. Bring to a boil.
  8. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
