Damn Hot Chili
- 1 1/2 lb. chili meat
- 1 1/2 lb. cubed stew meat
- 4 tsp. chopped garlic
- 1/4 c. chili powder
- 3 Tbsp. cumin
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 can beer
- 5 to 6 c. water
- 3 fresh jalapenos
- Heat shortening (1 tablespoon) in pot.
- Add meat and garlic. Cover and cook on low for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, mix dry ingredients in a bowl.
- Add to meat and stir well to coat meat thoroughly.
- Stir in tomato sauce, beer and water.
- Prick jalapenos and drop them in whole.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
