Chili Rellenos Casserole
- 1 lb. ground chuck
- salt
- pepper
- 2 (4 oz.) cans whole green chilies
- 1 1/2 c. grated cheese (Mexican Blend)
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 c. chopped onions
- 1/4 c. flour
- hot sauce (optional)
- taco seasoning
- Brown beef and onions; drain. Mix taco seasoning to taste. Cut chilies in half lengthwise. Spray bottom and sides of baking dish (butter). Cover bottom of pan with chilies. Sprinkle 1/2 of cheese over the chilies. Top with meat mix. Layer remaining chilies over meat. Sprinkle remaining cheese over chilies. Combine milk, beaten eggs, salt, pepper and flour. Pour over meat and chilies. Bake at 350u0b0 for 45 to 50 minutes or until mixture is set. Let cool for 5 minutes. Cut into squares and serve.
