Deep Fried Wonton
- 1 pkg. wonton skin
- 1/4 lb. ground beef
- 1/4 lb. ground pork
- 2 Tbsp. shoyu
- 1 Tbsp. sherry wine
- 1 Tbsp. sesame oil
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. minced fresh ginger
- 3 Tbsp. chopped chives or green onion
- 1 egg, beaten and diluted with little water
- Combine
- meat,thoyu, sherry, sesame oil, salt, ginger and chives
- ortreen
- onion
- in
- a frying pan and saute over medium heat
- until
- meat
- is
- cooked.
- Place
- about
- a half a teaspoon of meat mixture in the center of a wonton skin.
- Fold in
- half to make a rectangle.
- Fold in half again, lengthwise. Bring
- the ends of the narrow rectangle together and press the corners
- ofthe first
- fold
- together, sealing with a dab of diluted
- egg mixture.
- (The
- finished
- wonton
- looks
- like
- a nurse's cap.) Deep fry until golden brown.
