Creamy Crock Pot Pork
- For the Pork
- 1-2 tablespoons olive or grape seed oil
- 1 pinch sea salt - to taste
- 1 pinch black pepper - to taste
- 1 pinch dry garlic - to taste
- 1 can Cream of Mushroom soup -
- 1 can water or milk for the soup
- 2 pounds bonless pork steaks, or pork loin
- 1/4 cup water
- Mashed Potatoes
- 4-5 baking potatoes
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 pinch dry garlic - to taste
- 1 pinch salt and pepper to taste
- 4 tablespoons heavy cream or whole milk
- 1-2 tablespoons milk
- 2 tablespoons real butter
- Put the oil in the bottom of a crock pot.. Let it cover the bottom. Use excess to coat the sides to prevent sticking.
- Add the 1/4 water to the bottom of the crock pot. Add the salt, pepper, and garlic.
- Place pork steaks or thickly sliced pork loin into crock pot.
- In a seperat bowl, mix the Cream of Mushroom soup, and a full can of your choice water or milk. Pour soup over pork.
- Cook in crock pot on low for 6-8 hours.
- Stir when cooked. Pork will shred. Stir well to incorperate soup and seasonings. Keep warm. Serve over mashed potatoes.
- Peel potatoes. Cut into chunks. Cover with water and boil until tender. 15-20 minutes. Drain when cooked.
- Melt butter in a pan, add cream.
- Place still hot cooked potatoes in bowl. Add the melted butter and cream. Use potato masher or ricer to mash potatoes.
- Add seasonings, and gently stir in additional milk until desired consistancy.
- Place a serving of mashed potatoes in a bowl. Serve pork and sauce over the top.
