Strawberry Jam Bread
- 1 c. butter, softened
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp. lemon extract
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 3 c. all-purpose flour, sifted
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. dairy sour cream
- 1 c. strawberry jam
- 1 c. pecans, chopped
- In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar.
- Blend in vanilla and lemon extracts, then eggs.
- Beat mixture thoroughly.
- In a separate bowl, combine dry ingredients; set aside.
- In a third, smaller bowl, blend together the sour cream and jam.
- Stir dry ingredients into sugar-butter-egg mixture alternately with jam mixture.
- Stir until well blended.
- Stir in nuts.
- Pour batter into a greased and floured bread pan.
- Bake in preheated 350u0b0 oven for 45 to 50 minutes.
