Blueberry Sparkler

  1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan over medium-high heat.
  2. Heat all ingredients to a boil, reduce heat. Simmer 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Let cool to room temperature, remove vanilla bean before using.
  4. Note: This method leaves the blueberries whole; if a smoother consistency is desired, blend mixture after cooked and cooled.
  5. Fill four old fashioned glasses halfway full with ice.
  6. Mix blueberry syrup and bourbon. Divide between the four glasses.
  7. Squeeze a quarter lime wedge into each glass.
  8. Top with ginger ale and enjoy!
