Dr. Malley'S Orange Cake

  1. Heat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. Cream together the butter and one cup of sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg yolks.
  4. Sift together the dry ingredients and add them alternately with the sour cream, stirring until smooth.
  5. Stir in the orange rind and the chopped nuts.
  6. Beat the egg whites until stiff (but not dry) and fold into batter.
  7. Grease a 9-inch tube cake pan and pour in the batter.
  8. Bake 50 minutes or until cake tests done.
