Mazetti
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 2 1/2 c. finely chopped celery with leaves
- 2 c. chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 Tbsp. water
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. medium noodles
- 2 cans condensed tomato soup
- 1 (6 oz.) can mushrooms and liquid
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 2 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
- Brown in skillet the meat, celery, onion, garlic and water. Cover, steam until vegetables are tender.
- Remove from heat.
- Cook noodles as package directs.
- Drain.
- Add to meat along with soup, undrained mushrooms, salt and pepper.
- Spread into 3-quart casserole.
- Sprinkle cheese on top.
- Place in cold oven.
- Set at low heat (250u0b0).
- Bake, uncovered, for 1 hour until bubbly.
- Serves 10 to 12.
