Grub Stew
- 6 loin pork chops
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 stalks celery, chopped
- 3 slices green peppers
- 1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen lima beans
- 1 (16 oz.) can chopped tomatoes, peeled
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. hot sauce
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 bay leaf (remove after cooking)
- 5 large potatoes, cubed
- In pot, fill with water 3/4 of the way and add pork chops. Cook until done.
- Remove pork chops and let cool.
- Set aside.
- In same pot you cook your pork chops and the same broth, add all your other ingredients.
- Bring to boil and turn on low.
- Cover and cook for about 45 to 60 minutes.
- Stir occasionally.
- Take pork chops off the bone and chop or cut into nice size pieces.
- Add to your pot of stew and any juice that drained off the pork chops; add to stew.
- Let simmer for another 30 to 40 minutes.
- Then add additional spices.
