Slow Cooked Pepper Steak

  1. Cut beef into 3 inch by 1 inch strips.
  2. Brown in oil in skillet.
  3. Transfer to slow cooker.
  4. Combine the soy sauce, onion, garlic, sugar, salt, pepper, and ginger.
  5. Pour over beef.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or until meat is tender.
  7. Add tomatoes and green peppers; cook on low for 1 hour longer. Combine the cold water and corn starch to make a paste; stir into slow cooker and cook on high until thickened.
  8. Serve over rice or noodles.
  9. Yield:
  10. Serves 6-8.
