No-Bake Fruit Cake
- 3/4 c. Pet evaporated milk
- 24 large finely cut marshmallows or 3 c. miniatures
- 1/3 c. orange juice
- 6 c. graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp. cloves
- 1 1/2 c. raisins
- 3/4 c. finely cut dates
- 1 c. broken nutmeats (walnuts or pecans)
- 1 1/4 c. ready mixed cut up candied fruits
- Put the milk, marshmallows and orange juice into a large bowl; let stand until needed.
- Roll graham crackers into fine crumbs. In a large bowl, mix the crumbs, spices, raisins, dates and nuts. Add the candied fruits. Add the milk mixture.
- Mix with a spoon, then with hands until crumbs are moistened. Press firmly into a 9-inch tube pan or loaf pan with waxed paper lining.
- Top with additional fruit and nuts.
- Cover tightly. Chill 2 days before slicing.
- Keep in cool place.
- Makes 3 1/2 pounds.
