Thanksgiving Flan
- 1 cup sugar
- 8 egg yolks
- 1 14-oz can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 12-fl oz can evaporated milk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

- Preheat oven to 350u0b0F.
- Melt the sugar over medium heat until caramelrncolored. Pour into a 9" round glass baking dish,rncoating the bottom and sides.
- In a large bowl, beat the yolks until light yellowrnin color. Add the condensed and evaporatedrnmilks and the vanilla, and beat until veryrnsmooth. Pour mixture into the baking dish. Setrninside a larger pan; add water so that it comesrnup as much as possible around the edges of thernflan pan.
- Bake for 50 - 60 minutes. Remove from ovenrnand allow to cool completely. Refrigeraternovernight.
- To serve, invert the flan onto a plate withrnhigh sides. Surround with edible fl owers forrndecoration.
