*Kadaifi Rolls 3

  1. One hour before you start, roll the kataifi up in a moist towel.
  2. (This softens the kataifi and allows you to work it easier.)
  3. Preheat oven to 375u0b0.
  4. In a small bowl, combine walnuts, cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar and egg.
  5. Divide kataifi into 4 long sections.
  6. Cut each piece in half (8 pieces).
  7. Flatten each piece to a 3 x 6-inch rectangle.
  8. Spoon a little melted butter evenly on the rectangle.
  9. Place 1 tablespoon of the walnut mixture at one end.
  10. Roll up "jelly roll" fashion.
  11. Place, seam side down, onto a greased pan.
  12. Bake at 375u0b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
  13. Sprinkle the Kadaifi Rolls with a little water before baking.
  14. Pour a little syrup slowly on the kadaifi.
