Double Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 1 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. packed dark brown sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1/3 c. baking cocoa
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. chopped walnuts
- 1 c. (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter, sugars and vanilla. Beat in egg.
- Add cocoa and milk. Combine flour and baking powder. Fold into creamed mixture with walnuts and chocolate chips.
- Roll teaspoonfuls of dough into balls.
- Place 2-inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 10 to 12 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes before removing to wire racks to cool.
- Yields 3 to 4 dozen.
