Peach Glace Pie(Microwave)
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. finely shredded orange peel
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 4 c. sliced, peeled peaches or 1 (29 oz.) can peach slices, drained and cut up
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1 1/2 c. peach nectar
- 1 crust pie shell
- whipped cream
- whole strawberry
- In a 4 cup measure, stir together sugar, cornstarch, orange peel and nutmeg.
- Add peach nectar; mix well.
- Cook, uncovered, on 100% power for 4 to 6 minutes or until thickened and bubbly, stirring each minute until mixture starts to thicken,
- then every 30 seconds until bubbly.
- Cook, uncovered, on High for 30 seconds more.
- Stir in vanilla.
- Cool for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Arrange peaches in cooled pie shell.
- Pour liquid mixture evenly over fruit.
- Chill for 2 hours.
- Dollop with whipped cream.
- Garnish with strawberry.
- Serves eight.
