Creamy Orange Dessert
- 1 (8 serving) pkg. orange flavored gelatin
- 1 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 1/2 c. mini-marshmallows
- 2 c. vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt
- 1 (11 oz.) can mandarin orange segments, drained
- Mix gelatin and water in 2 1/2 to 3-quart microwavable bowl. Microwave on High 1 1/2 minutes.
- Stir to dissolve completely.
- Add marshmallows; microwave 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or until marshmallows are puffed and almost melted.
- Stir mixture slowly until marshmallows are completely melted and mixture is smooth.
- Add ice cream.
- Stir with wire whisk until melted.
- Stir in oranges; pour into 6 cup ring mold.
- Refrigerate 45 minutes or until set.
- To unmold, dip in hot water 10 to 15 seconds.
- Gently pull gelatin from edges with moist fingers.
- Place moistened serving plate on top of mold.
- Invert, holding mold and plate together.
- Shake slightly to loosen.
- Gently remove mold.
