Hershey'S Chocolate Cake
- 2 c. flour, sifted
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 3 sticks oleo, divided
- 12 Tbsp. Hershey's syrup, divided (canned kind)
- 3/4 c. water
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 c. sweet milk
- 1 lb. powdered sugar
- 1 c. pecans, chopped
- Grease and flour 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Mix in large bowl, flour, sugar and baking soda.
- In saucepan, mix 2 sticks oleo, 6 tablespoons chocolate syrup and water.
- Bring to a boil and set aside.
- In large measuring cup, beat (with fork) eggs, buttermilk and vanilla.
- Add chocolate mixture to flour mixture and stir in eggs, etc.
- No need for electric mixer.
- A big spoon is fine.
- Pour into pan and bake at 350u0b0 about 35 minutes.
