Homestead Goulash
- 3 lb. ground beef
- 1 large onion, diced
- 1 large green pepper, diced
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. crushed red pepper
- 1/2 Tbsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 Tbsp. black pepper
- 1 can sweet kernel corn
- 1 box instant mashed potatoes, cooked
- 2 celery stalks, diced
- 1/2 Tbsp. seasoning salt
- 1/2 Tbsp. Accent
- 1 can mixed vegetables
- 1 bag shredded Cheddar cheese
- In a large bowl, mix ground beef, onion, green pepper, celery, seasoning salt, garlic power, Accent and black pepper. Brown mixture in skillet and drain off fat.
- Layer mixture in baking pan and top with shredded cheese. Top the cheese with a layer of crushed red pepper and layer that with the mixed vegetables and corn. Smooth on mashed potatoes.
- Bake in a 350u0b0 oven for 25 minutes.
- Serves 12 to 15.
