Porcelain Thumbprints

  1. Cream margarine in small bowl.
  2. Add 1/2 cup sugar, beating at medium speed with mixer until light and fluffy.
  3. Add egg white and vanilla; beat well.
  4. Gradually add flour to mixture; stirring until blended (dough will be stiff).
  5. Wrap dough in heavy plastic wrap and freeze 10 minutes.
  6. Shape dough into 1-inch balls, place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet.
  7. Press thumb into each.
  8. Bake at 375u0b0 for 10 minutes.
  9. Remove and cool.
  10. Combine powdered sugar, cocoa and water; stir well.
  11. Spoon 1/4 teaspoon into each cookie center. Yields 2 dozen.
