Baked Ziti Parmigiana
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 3/4 lb. ground beef
- 1 (19 oz.) can minestrone soup
- 1 (19 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 tsp. dried basil
- 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. ziti
- 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
- 4 oz. lite Mozzarella cheese, shredded
- Preheat oven to 375u0b0. In large saucepot, brown meat in oil until meat is browned, drain and rinse with hot water to remove fat.
- Return to pot, add soup, sauce and seasonings.
- Simmer, uncovered, until slightly thickened, stirring constantly. Meanwhile, cook ziti and drain, spoon a thin layer of sauce into 9-inch square baking pan.
- Add ziti, top with remaining sauce. Sprinkle with 1/2 Parmesan, cover with Mozzarella cheese and then the rest of the Parmesan.
- Bake, uncovered, about 25 minutes until bubbly and browned on top.
