  1. Mix together in a bowl the ground beef, chopped onions, Lipton onion soup mix and water or beer.
  2. Form three or four patties, depending on how big your buns are (the hamburger buns, not your personal buns).
  3. Salt and pepper the patties.
  4. At this point, you should be thinking if you washed your hands before you started. It's too late, but remember next time.
  5. You don't know where your hands have been.
  6. Grill the burgers on the barbecue; melt the cheese on the patties as they finish cooking.
  7. Garnish with lettuce, pickles, tomato, sliced onion, mustard and catsup.
