Five Flavor Pound Cake

  1. Cream butter and shortening, then gradually add sugar to mixture, beating well at medium speed of electric mixer.
  2. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each one.
  3. Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
  4. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour.
  5. Mix after each addition. Stir in flavorings.
  6. Pour batter into a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
  7. Bake in 325u0b0 oven for 1 hour or until pick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Cool cake in pan for 10 minutes. Remove from pan and cool on wire rack.
  9. Spoon hot glaze over warm cake.
  10. Let cool completely.
