Creamy Green Dragon Smoothie
- Smoothie
- 1 packet dragon fruit smoothie packet (frozen)
- 1/2 handful mango chunks (frozen)
- 1/2 small avocado
- 1/4 cup dairy milk
- 1/2 cup rosewater
- 1 teaspoon ceremonial grade matcha
- Rosewater
- 2 cups water
- 1/4 cup fresh or dried chemical & pesticide-free, edible rose petals
- Prepare the rosewater by bringing 1 cup of water to a slow boil in a saucepan.
- Add the edible, dried rose petals, stir, and reduce to low heat. Cover leaving a slight opening for steam to be released and let steep for approximately 2 minutes or until water has turned a deep rose hue. Remove from heat.
- Add the frozen dragon fruit smoothie base to a blender followed by frozen mango chunks. Do not blend at this stage.
- Revisit the rosewater - strain to separate the petals then let sit until the temp ranges from warm to cool. Discard the boiled petals.rnRecommended: from the saucepan, pour rosewater through a slotted spoon held over a mason jar to separate and store the remainder for future smoothies.
- Add 1/2 small avocado, milk, rosewater, and matcha powder to blender. Set on high until smooth and fully incorporated.
- Serve cold and sprinkle with optional toppings. Try granola, pistachios, blueberries, flaked coconut, and edible flowers. Don't forget a spoon to enjoy the toppings!
