Falafel(The Hot Dog Of The Middle East)

  1. Soak chickpeas in water overnight.
  2. Drain; mix drained chickpeas and spices together, then grind very fine.
  3. Add baking soda and let the mixture rest for half an hour.
  4. Form into walnut size balls and deep fry in 350u0b0 oil.
  5. Drain well.
  6. May be eaten hot or at room temperature.
  7. Serve with Tahina Sauce (recipe follows) and chopped tomatoes.
  8. Must do ahead, time consuming.
  9. Can freeze.
