Beef Stroganoff

  1. Cut steak into 1/2-inch strips.
  2. Remove any fat.
  3. Pat dry with paper towel.
  4. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  5. Melt 1 tablespoon margarine in frying pan.
  6. Add meat; cook and stir until brown. Remove meat from pan; set aside.
  7. Cook onion and mushrooms in same pan until tender.
  8. Return meat to pan.
  9. Mix the broth, mustard and catsup; pour over meat.
  10. Cover; simmer for 1/2 hour.
  11. Make paste of flour and water; stir into pan.
  12. Cook, stirring constantly, until thick.
  13. Add yogurt or sour cream; do not boil.
  14. Serve over cooked noodles.
