Super Bubble Loaf

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine yeast and warm water.
  2. Let stand for a few minutes.
  3. Add milk, egg, honey, salt and thyme. Add about 1 cup flour.
  4. Beat until batter is smooth.
  5. Gradually add rest of flour until a rather stiff dough forms.
  6. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface.
  7. Knead until smooth and elastic.
  8. Place in bowl.
  9. Cover.
  10. Let rise 1 hour.
  11. Punch down. Put on lightly floured surface; knead a few times.
  12. Divide in half.
  13. Cut each half in 8 even pieces.
  14. Shape in a small ball. Place 8 rolls in a greased loaf pan.
  15. Drizzle with melted butter. Repeat with other pan.
  16. Cover; let rise 30 to 40 minutes.
  17. Bake at 400u0b0 for about 40 minutes or until golden brown.
