Savory Cauliflower & Leek Tart

  1. Crust:
  2. 1 1/4 cup of flour
  3. 5 tablespoons of chilled butter
  4. 2 tablespoons of chilled vegetable shortening
  5. 1/2 teaspoons salt
  6. 2 to 3 tablespoons ice cold water
  7. 1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper
  8. Preparation:
  9. Crust: in food processors, add flour and salt and pulse twice. Add cubed shortening and butter and pulse until it is incorporated similar to sand. Add water 1 tablespoon at a time until it starts to come together. Roll in a ball and wrap in plastic wrap. Rest in refrigerator for 2 to 3 hours.
