Infallible Chili
- 2 to 3 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 bag (12 oz.) frozen chopped onions
- 1 bag (12 oz.) frozen chopped peppers
- 4 to 5 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
- 4 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 to 4 (cool to hot) tsp. crushed red peppers
- 32 oz. crushed tomatoes (approximately)
- 23 oz. tomato sauce (approximately)
- 6 oz. tomato paste (approximately)
- 48 oz. red kidney beans
- 1 oz. unsweetened chocolate
- Brown meat on high.
- Add onion and pepper; cook until tender. Add chili powder, flour, salt, sugar, pepper, crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce and tomato paste.
- Reduce heat to simmer; cover and cook 1 hour.
- Stir in chocolate and beans.
- Cook 20 to 30 minutes or until you remember to turn it off.
