Cherry Chocolates
- 2 jars maraschino cherries
- 1 jar marshmallow cream
- 4 c. powdered sugar
- 1 tsp. almond extract
- 12 oz. chocolate chips
- 1/2 cake paraffin
- 1 small block white almond bark
- 1/3 c. margarine
- wax paper
- Drain cherries; set aside.
- Melt margarine, then stir in marshmallow cream and powdered sugar, one cup at a time; mix well. Make small round balls, flatten them out, place cherry in center and roll and seal.
- Place in refrigerator to cool.
- Put chocolate chips in a double boiler.
- Put paraffin in pan and melt it with chocolate chips.
- After wax is almost melted, put in the almond bark.
- Take a toothpick and dip each cherry in chocolate.
- Place on wax paper.
- You can use the candy dough for mints and mound coconut bars.
