Trivillian'S Colombian White Chili
- 4 1/2 c. cooked Great Northern beans, drained
- 1 c. chopped, cooked onions
- 2 c. chicken broth
- 1 handful cilantro (stems and leaves are okay)
- 2 tsp. ground cumin
- 1 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
- 4 oz. canned chopped green chilies, drained
- 1 lb. cooked chicken pieces, skinned
- Drain cooked beans; add chicken broth.
- Saute chopped onions; add chopped cilantro, garlic powder, cumin, cloves and cayenne. Add to beans, bring to a simmer and cook a few minutes.
- Add oregano and chilies last (they darken if added earlier).
- Stir in chicken pieces.
- Heat through.
