Lucy'S Cake

  1. Bake angel food cake according to package directions, cool. Dissolve gelatin in 4 Tbsp. cold water, add hot water and stir until dissolved - add pineapple, sugar, lemon juice - put in refrigerator to set or thicken.
  2. Whip 2 envelopes dream whip with 1 cup sweet milk and 1/2 tsp. vanilla - add this to the gelatin mixture - break up angel food cake in large pan - add the gelatin mixture, nuts and cherries, mix thoroughly.
  3. Grease tub pan - spoon mixture into pan and press down.
  4. Chill overnight - ice with 1 package dream whip and 1/2 cup milk.
  5. Spread with coconut and cherries.
